The Giant's massive hand impacted just behind Inex, scooping up the top of the mound and lifting a spilling heap of gold into the air that sent Inex flying. On the other side of the room, Alex's sensor started beeping fit to burst. He grabbed hold of something wrapped in a golden cloth, and thrust the sensor in his belt. The Doctor was shouting for the Giant to 'calm down'

and 'pick on someone your own size'. He was managing to avoid the monster's attempts to get hold of him by - Alex couldn't tell exactly if it was a formal martial art - seeming to be in two places at once and having far more arms and legs than you might expect. But Alex knew it was only a matter of time before someone said hello to Mr Gullet, and he was decidedly of the opinion that it wasn't going to be him.
